The Hunger Games are on DVD so I decided to revisit the Effie Trinket look.  

Since it’s Summer, I wanted to use a lighter pink.  Here are my Summer Trinket Nails using Cult Nails Untamed with sponged Butter London The Full Monty.  

I also did a swatch for a more Traditional Effie Trinket look using the colors shown.  I love glitter so I added some on the traditional look to make it sparkle!   

Bummer!  The Olympics are over.  But that doesn’t mean I can’t add some gold sparkle to my nails!

Here are my Summer Candy Gradient nails.  The gradient was easy to do using the American Apparel Sheer polish.  I could have left them with only the gradient, but I just had to add the gold sparkle! 

I think I chose pink because Amanda Lepore’s “Cotton Candy” has been stuck in my head since Friday.  I could have used a more bubblegum pink, but I wanted to keep my nails pretty nude.  They need a break!  I had so many colors on them the last few weeks!

I love the way these turned out!  They look so pretty!

Hmm… now I want some Cotton Candy!

Week one of the Nail Art Challenge: Glitter! Here’s my glitter gradient with the four colors shown.

I bought the Migi art pens to try them out.  I added leopard spots to my current mani to try out the black pen.  I wish I were ambidextrous, my right hand took forever to finish!

I like how the Migi nail art pens work, they’re easy to use.  Just don’t do this: I got a big bubble of polish on my right ring finger after I opened the twist cap to show my sister the brush.  I put the cap back on and started to draw.  When I went to draw a dot, a big bubble of polish came out.  Crisis was averted when I used a Nail Tee to pick up some of the black.

TIP, don’t open the brush if you are drawing with the pen!

TIP, if it bubbles when you take the cap off, poke the cleaner pin into the tip and leave it in, clean the tip, remove pin and then draw.

I didn’t wait for the Migi art to dry so I used Seche Vite.  Oh man, it dragged the nail art!  I thought Seche Vite wasn’t supposed to do that.  Why did my art get all streaked?

My Gradient nails using @RGBcosmetics Camel fading into HIPPxRGB F3.  It kind of looks like when you are stirring up chocolate milk!
